Manchester based security firm Secure Options, has been acquired by the MRFS Group to create what will be one of the leading national independent security providers to the commercial and residential property sectors.
With offices based in Oldham, Secure Options has developed a strong recurring revenue base that when combined with MRFS’ customers, will virtually double the enlarged MRFS Group’s recurring revenue. The fire & security maintenance & monitoring contracts include contracts with major commercial property owners and occupiers, specialising in retail, leisure, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, schools and office space throughout the UK, such as the landmark City Tower in Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester.
London based MRFS Group has an established position as a market leader in designing, installing and maintaining high-tech security, fire and audio visual systems in commercial and residential properties in the Capital and South East. MRFS client base includes major high street retail chains, high-end residential developers, major hotel operators, government embassies and a wide spread residential customer base.
MRFS chief executive, Tony Bygraves, says: “This acquisition is another significant step in expanding the footprint and activity of our business. Secure Options’ positioning in the electronic fire and security markets concentrated in the more Northern areas of the UK perfectly complements our existing expertise in the systems we provide in the South East. We now have a significantly enlarged team of service and installation engineers across the regions as well as being able to utilise the specific areas of expanded in-house expertise in growing markets for each region.

With MRFS’ experience of providing security, fire and audio visual systems and monitoring service to private clients – including numerous high profile sports personalities and celebrities – in the South East, the company has highlighted the high net worth areas of Manchester and Chester as potential markets to expand in to through Secure Options.
