Paul Eskriett joins Shield with a wealth of security and leadership experience gained during 30 year career with the City of London Police. During his time with the police force, Paul liaised regularly with businesses, local authorities, emergency services, security services and the military.
At Shield, Paul’s role will focus on identifying Government and Local Authority Contracts, as well as Police Support Opportunities across the UK. He will also implement initiatives to increase the company’s profile within the finance sector. Paul’s appointment includes joining The Shield Guarding Company Limited’s Board of Directors.
Some of the notable roles that Paul has held during his career with the City of London Police, include: Chief Superintendent (Operations & Counter Terrorism), Chief Superintendent (Senior Management Review & Force Restructuring); Chief Superintendent, Divisional Commander (Bishopsgate Police Station); Detective Superintendent (Fraud Investigation Department); Superintendent (Complaints and Discipline); Chief Inspector (Operations and Public Order); Inspector (Tactical Firearms Group); Inspector (Snow Hill Police Station).
Building on his security and guarding experience, Paul has successfully held the following senior-level management positions: Security and Contingency Planning Consultant (The Shield Guarding Company Limited) and Principal Security and Contingency Planning Advisor (City of London Corporation).
Other notable roles held by Paul include being a support officer to the Chief Officers of the Metropolitan Police, City of London Police, MOD and British Transport Police on ‘Operation Guardian’, to target harden London at the height of the IRA Campaigns. He was also a special adviser on emergency response procedures to the ‘Office of Emergency Management’ in New York after the 9/11 attacks. Paul has also devised and presented talks on security to several international audiences in Dubai, Kuala Lumpur and New York.
Paul has also engaged with leading business brands and leaders by developing and facilitating security exercises for a number of major international companies, including Goldman Sachs, J P Morgan, Barclays, Bank of England, Lloyds of London and the FSA. He was also instrumental in engaging and developing Command and Control structures for London Local Authorities dealing with the 2012 Olympic Games.
