VSG, working with Argos, have won the Loss Prevention and Online Security Solution of the Year award at the BT Retail Week Technology Awards 2012. The awards celebrate innovation in retail, new technology and adapting to changing consumer behaviour.
The VSG Systems team, in partnership with Argos, won the category for Project Synergies, which reduced ongoing security costs through the installation of innovative electronic security systems, monitored at VSG’s Alarm Receiving Centre. A combination of Video Analytics ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) Automated Barrier controls and Intruder alarms were installed across the Argos distribution estate reducing annualised security costs by over £2m.
Nick Reed, VSG Systems Division Director, was delighted to collect the award with Argos at the awards ceremony, held at the luxurious Lancaster London hotel near Hyde Park in London.
