Cordant Group ranked 15th in the Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 league table

The £536 million annual turnover Cordant Group, has been ranked 15th in the Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 league table, which ranks Britain’s mid-market growth private companies with the largest sales. The Cordant Group was also ranked the largest employer, with 30,000 employees in the Top Track 250 league table. Cordant Group owns Advance Security which was ranked seventh in the Infologue.com Top 25 UK Companies in the Regulated Security Sector 2013.

Established in 1957 in the security services sector, the majority of Cordant’s income is now derived from its recruitment business, which supplies blue-collar workers to sectors such as nursing, engineering and catering. The family-owned group is run by the Chief Executive Phillip Ullman.

Cordant owns the second privately owned recruitment company with 160 branches nationwide, which is a multi sector recruitment division with brands specialising in a range of sectors for example, engineering and technology, sales and marketing, care and nursing and contact centre. It also owns the 7th largest security firm in the UK, Advance Security, which employs 4,000 personnel. The two divisions together make up the majority of its sales.
