
In the lead up to the prestigious Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) awards ceremony and dinner, Infologue.com are going to cover the leading four nominations that have been shortlisted for the 2018 OSPA Lifetime Achievement Award, and as voted for by the judges. This prominent award recognises a senior member of the security community who has been working in the industry for over 30 years. It acknowledges an individual who has consistently shown outstanding performance and who has had a substantial impact upon designing and driving standards in the security sector.
Dennis Judd, former Head of Corporate Relations at CSL, has been nominated for this year’s UK OSPAs Lifetime Achievement Award. Dennis, who retired on 31st December 2017, was the recipient of the 2014 Association of Insurance Surveyors (AIS) Personality Award for his support and assistance to the insurance industry over many years, both in previous roles, and his most recent role at CSL.
Dennis has been a notable figure in the security sector and the insurance industry for a number of years, initially at Modern Alarms, followed by ADT Fire & Security. Dennis has been instrumental in raising the awareness with insurers of the benefits of dual signalling and monitored alarms.
In his time at CSL, Dennis has been key in the organisation of the CSL’s Annual Insurer’s Forum which has now taken place for 11 consecutive years and has expanded to the impressive venue of UBM HQ. The CSL Annual Insurers’ Forum comprises over 50 senior insurers and consultants from leading UK insurance companies. The forum gathers first-class industry experts who are assembled to provide insurers with the most cohesive information on industry trends affecting Risk Assessment in the Fire & Security Sector.
