G4S Appoints New Director Of Hmp Rye Hill

G4S Care & Justice Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Wheatley as the Director of HMP Rye Hill.  Tom will take over his new role in September following a short induction period. Before joining G4S Tom had previously worked for the prison service since 1994, most recently as Governor of HMP Moorlands, Category D men’s prison and Young Offenders Institution in Yorkshire.

Previously Tom was Governor at HMP Nottingham and had also worked at HMP Hull, HMP Full Sutton near York, in HM Prison Service HQ and at HMP Ranby. As the Governor of HMP Nottingham, he was also a member of the Nottinghamshire Criminal Justice Board, whilst at HMP Full Sutton he was responsible for the Security, Operations and the Special Secure Unit, which holds Exceptional Risk Category A prisoners. HMP Rye Hill is a category ‘B’ training prison situated in the village of Willoughby, near Rugby in Warwickshire, and holds up to 664 sentenced male adults.
