Arsenal Football Club, recognized as one of the major professional football clubs worldwide, has opted to extend its security vetting agreement with Mitie for an additional duration of five years. The expansion of this contract entails the ongoing provision of crucial vetting services encompassing background assessments, assessments of criminal records, and checks through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
In line with its status as a prominent football establishment with a rich history and significant influence, Arsenal places notable importance on the security and well-being of its workforce. This leads to the establishment of rigorous background evaluations for both current and potential employees. Within the framework of this agreement, Mitie’s vetting division, known as Procius, will undertake a comprehensive range of vetting services. These services are supported by Mitie’s specialized vetting technology platform, MyCheck™.
The utilization of MyCheck™ will facilitate a variety of background inspections, which encompass validation of digital identities, checks on curriculum vitae and work authorization, along with validation of employment and educational backgrounds. This extension of the contract stands as a testament to the sustained trust in Mitie’s proficiency in security vetting matters and its strategy of employing technology to drive background screening processes.
Of the extension, Jason Towse, Managing Director, Business Services, Mitie, said, “As a market-leading vetting services provider, we’re proud of our great relationship with a football club of Arsenal’s stature. We’re looking forward to continuing to provide exceptional vetting services backed by our smart technology solutions.”
