Personal Profile – Bill Muskin
Chairman – VSG Limited
Bill Muskin is Chairman and the original founder of VSG Ltd. He is also Chairman of the Manned Guarding Sector for the BSIA and UK representative for the Confederation of European Security Sectors (CoESS). Bill spent his early career in the police force: based in Daventry, he spent most of his 16 years in CID, including an eight-year assignment with the drug squad. On leaving the police force Bill joined Firm Security, where in nine years he worked his way up to become Operational Director. Firm Security was acquired by Chubb in 1998.
Bill took his extensive experience and business know-how and branched out to form VSG in 2000. At the start, VSG had but 17 head office staff. Today it boasts over 5,000 staff, has a turnover in excess of £120 million and appears in The Sunday Times Profit Track Top 100 companies (2009 – Position 61). Bill is an ardent motor biker and a regular at Silverstone and Donnington for track days. He is also a keen shot.
