Staff from Bournemouth-based Innpacked Training attended a prestigious lunch and presentation in London to receive the ‘Door Supervisor Training Award’ in the 2008 BII NITAs. The BII NITAs are the national training awards for the licensed retail industry, recognising and rewarding training excellence. Innpacked was announced winner of the ‘Door Supervisor Training Award’ category in January. Along with the ten other category winners, Director Ian Crockard was invited to attend the 2009 BII Annual Lunch to officially receive the trophy in front of almost 1,000 of the licensed retail industry’s key players. The lunch took place, as always, at Grosvenor House on London’s Park Lane.
Winning a BII NITA is seen as the pinnacle of success in the industry. The awards are run in conjunction with The Publican newspaper and each individual category is sponsored by an appropriate organisation. Innpacked’s category was sponsored by BIIAB and City & Guilds – Cathie Smith of BIIAB and Tom Benson from City & Guilds attended the lunch to present Innpacked with their trophy. Judges were impressed by Innpacked‘s overall approach to training undertaken, as well as the flexibility and accessibility of the approach. They also commented that there is clear evidence of a well developed business model that is attracting demand from a range of public and private sector market groups, locally and nationally.
