SIA launches research into the impact of SIA regulation in Northern Ireland

The Security Industry Authority is calling for views as part of its research into the impact of regulation upon the private security industry in Northern Ireland.

The results will be compared with the findings of the SIA’s 2008 survey, which was carried out before regulation was introduced in December 2009.

The information will be used to determine how the industry has changed, and to identify any issues to be taken into account as the future of the regulation is discussed and developed.

The research is being gathered through three online surveys. If you would like to take part, please only respond to the survey that is relevant to your role:

  • Private security employers
  • Private security industry employees
  • Buyers of private security services

The surveys can be found on the SIA website at: www.sia.homeoffice.gov.uk/Pages/ni-impact-research.aspx

The closing date for responses is Friday 8 July.
