Voting has opened for the first ever Counter Terrorism and Specialist Security Awards. The awards have been set up in order that the industry can recognise and reward the incredible work of the many organisations involved in counter terrorism and specialist security around the world.
Companies will be nominated by those working in the industry through the online voting process and the winners will be announced in a spectacular ceremony on the 19th April at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington. The Master of Ceremonies for the evening is scheduled to be Jeremy Bowen, Middle East Editor for the BBC.
Norman Bamford, Managing Director of BDEC Limited, organisers of the Awards commented: “These awards are an ideal way for members of the defence and security sectors to recognise excellence in their relevant fields and ensure this is given the reward it deserves. There could not be a better way to celebrate this than at the spectacular Gala Dinner we are holding at the Royal Garden Hotel. This will complement perfectly the Counter Terror Expo, which will be attended by a prestigious list of exhibitors, delegates and visitors.”
Craig Taylor from Qioptiq, premier designer, manufacturer and supplier of image intensified and thermal surveillance, acquisition and engagement equipment added: “Qioptiq is proud to sponsor this must attend event. CTSS offers the ideal opportunity to meet with customers, existing and future, in a social environment after a busy day at Counter Terror Expo and to recognise the best of the global civil defence and counter terrorism community.”
Industry professionals are invited to attend the Awards Gala Dinner, which promises to be an impressive event. Guests can look forward to a champagne reception, entertainment, gourmet food and fine wines, as well as superb networking opportunities.
