OCS holds Annual Security Summit & Technology Showcase at Birmingham NEC

The annual OCS Security Summit 2022 was held at the NEC, Birmingham on Thursday 5th May 2022. Aimed at OCS staff & guests, the programme included an array of leading speakers from across the security industry. These included Mike Reddington – CEO of the British Security Industry Association, Ruth McNee – Head of Business Development at Crimestoppers, Nick Aldworth from Protect Duty, Martin Gill – Director of Perpetuity Research and Nazakat Ali from CTSA. Guest also included OCS’ Neil Weller, Chief Information Security Officer and Yvonne Taylor, Global Head of Cleaning.

The summit also included the annual Technology showcase where OCS suppliers exhibited their various pieces of equipment. These included companies such as PPSS, Halo technologies and long-running security industry mainstay, Interconnective Security Products. Interconnective showed off their wide range of equipment from the advanced The Partner MK4 Body Worn Camera to body armour and handheld metal detector security wands. Of the event, Interconnective Chief Technical Officer, Chris Lanchbury said, “We are always happy to support OCS whom we have been working with since our founding over 20 years ago. The summit is always a great chance to meet with key stakeholders and learn more about what is happening in the industry.”

Several security officers were recognised for their incredible work and were gifted certificates of achievement. OCS Group UK was awarded a trophy by Mike Reddington from British Security Industry Association. Global Head of Security, Steve Gardner accepted the trophy as OCS have been a member of the association for 39 years.
