Mitie Group plc has today announces it has entered into an agreement to sell its social housing business to Gloucester-based Mears Group plc for a consideration of up to £35 million in cash (on a debt free, cash free basis). It has also proposed a share placing to fund the transaction, which could raise about £22.5m.
