The British Security Industry Association will launch new website today at noon

bsia_logoAt noon on the 31st of January, the latest version of bsia.co.uk will be going live. The new platform will be a modernised upgrade that the BSIA has stated reflects their position as the voice of the professional security industry.

The site will feature an improved UI (User Interface) that will be easier to navigate as well as a simplified menu function. It will also possess enhanced search capabilities, which many who used the previous iteration of the site will remember as being one of its’ weak points. The new engines will be able to scour content databases as well as member services. A new dashboard will “allow members to manage their own engagement with the Association.”

Along with the website’s redesign comes a change in direction for the BSIA as they push to increase accessibility or seek to adopt more interactive means of engaging with their members, both existing and prospective. Key contacts will be prominently featured, which will allow people to contact association staff and section chairs directly.

The BSIA is also embarking on a program of adopting new media with videos and podcasts planned to promote various initiatives, thought leadership and standards and guidance. They further plan to promote their various services such as Skills for Security, SaferCash and SaferGems. The annual British Security Awards will also feature prominently.

The website launch coincides with a wider refining of the British Security Industry Association’s visual identity, adopting a new colour palette and the strapline, “the voice of the professional security industry”.

“We launch our new, much improved BSIA website today with great pride. By using the latest digital technology, the new platform has been designed for easy access to the services and thought leadership for our members as well as the large portfolio of products and guidance that the Association offers to the marketplace – for members, end-user and future members of the Association.

“The website is an incredible repository of information and expertise, which the new design and user journey highlights much more clearly than any other iteration in the past. I am confident that the customer experience when using our new website reflects our position as the voice of the professional security industry” said BSIA, Chief Executive, Mike Reddington.
