On July 6th 2020, global FM provider, Mitie, announced that they had won a five-year integrated FM contract with the UK’s largest pension, life insurance and investment concern, the Royal London Group.
The contract which covers a wide range of services, including security, remote monitoring, cleaning, front of house, waste management & engineering, will run for five years and can be extended for a further two.
The scope of the agreement covers multiple sites in England and Scotland and will in particular have the objective on increasing energy efficiency and lowering emissions as part of Mitie’s new Zero Carbon for Zero Cost’ service. Mitie’s target is to achieve a 10% reduction in energy consumption over the next 5 years while proving that environmentally friendly action can be taken without substantial costs.
