On the 13th of May 2020, UK based security and FM company, the Axis Group, announced that they have signed on the C-19 Business Pledge. The aim of this initiative is for industry and academia to cooperate in doing their most to help staff, clients and community stakeholders during the Coronavirus pandemic.
The initiative was launched by former UK Cabinet Minister, Justine Greenig and entrepreneur David Harris with an aim not only to face the current challenges but help during recovery in the long term.
During the crisis, Axis Group has modified the way that it operates including introducing adapted patrol and response services, embracing thermal imaging solutions, and reviewing site protocols in order to be in line with social distancing requirements.
“We have been blown away by the positivity and enthusiasm of our security officers and cleaning employees in their commitment to continuing their roles safely in support of our customers’ businesses. The health and safety of our customers and employees has always been at the core of our values, and we are incredibly grateful to all our employees for supporting this ethos. By signing the C-19 business pledge we want to join the efforts of many other organisations to fight Covid-19 and protect those around us,” says Axis Group, Chief Executive Officer, Jonathan Levine.
In addition to the Covid-19 Business Pledge, Axis Group have also continued to develop their staff through newly introduced e-learning programs.
“We’re using new courses including Legionella Awareness, Principles of Manual Handling and Fire Marshal to equip employees with new skills while on the front line or furloughed and awaiting return. Our employee benefits offering continues to support our people’s mental and financial wellbeing with virtual offerings covering a range of supportive areas,” said Gary Stanton, Axis Group, Group Commercial Director
