For over 15 years, Infologue.com has compiled an annual list of the UK’s Top Security companies by revenue. This data is based on figures from the companies themselves or annual filings for the previous year. Only revenue drawn from the UK regulated security sector is taken into account.
In 2019, there has been a lot of movement on the Top 30. Mitie is now ranked number 1 for revenue with G4S dropping to number 2. One of the biggest news stories was Interserve going to administration early in the year, though many predicted that clients would be scared off, it appears that this has not happened. Interserve has moved down one place but this was due to a big increase by OCS who added just over 22% to their revenue.
A stellar year for Man Commercial sees them rising a place by adding 14 million to their revenue having won a number of large contracts in the retail and distribution sector. Amberstone has successfully integrated Cardinal Security into their Guarding division and were able to report figures this year, bringing them up to number 22.
In 2019, we also welcome Allied Universal (formerly Andrews International) and Unitrust to the Top 30 at numbers 29 and 30 respectively.

*G4S has changed how they report annual revenue which has made it impossible to separate out Regulated Security activities and non-regulated in their Cash Solutions business unit. We contacted numerous senior leadership members and were unable to get a definitive figure. We used the 2018 filings Jan – Dec from their various relevant business units and combined them to reach this total. We did not include any revenue from Cash Solutions.
** The majority of the revenue figures are reported by the companies themselves to us directly. Those with two asterisks are companies where we have had to use the 2018 accounts. Some of these companies have non-related areas of business in their statutory accounts which Infologue.com attempts to estimate and factor out of the estimated turnover. Infologue strives for accuracy and welcomes input from the companies and will amend any verified inaccuracies as soon as possible. Therefore these figures should be treated with caution and be regarded as the best guess.
